Proverbs Bible Study

In a culture where the institution of marriage is largely regarded as obsolete; where multiple partners is the norm; where the desire for variety in one’s diet is equated with the “need” for variety in one’s sexual relations; where 12 and 13-year-olds are sexually active; and where the saying “tana na xixevo” (come with sauce) laughingly refers to a nearby village where many of the young women are willing to sell their bodies in exchange for some little bit of vegetable or meat (worth about $0.15 to $0.30) that they can eat alongside their corn-based staple known as vuswa, it has been a delight to share the refreshing truths of biblical, God-pleasing marital love during our recent Wednesday night Bible studies.

We have been studying in the book of Proverbs and have just finished chapters 5, 6, and 7. We have had opportunity to share plainly with the young people that have been attending about the dangers of the seductress, the deadly consequences of sex outside of marriage, the need to guard one’s heart, and the positive, beautiful side of the sexual relationship inside of marriage—the way that God designed it.

In the midst of the dry and barren desert of Satan’s lies, the truth of God’s word flows like a cool, pure-as-snow stream, quenching parched lips and healing broken hearts.

Thank You

We want to express our sincere thankfulness for those of you who faithfully remember our family and ministry in prayer. We are currently at a time in our ministry here where we need much wisdom and guidance from the Lord—please pray for us in this regard. We also want to express our thankfulness for those of you who, in spite of difficult economic times, continue to give and sacrifice for the cause of Christ and the spread of the Gospel around the world. May the Lord’s richest blessings be upon you.
